Bell-bottoms became very popular and women were aloud to start wearing jeans. Jewelry was hand made. The twist dance was something women danced at clubs. Go-go dancers came to exist.The western world began to rebel.The hippie style is a a way teens fought america without violance.Hippies defined themselves as opponents of the dominant culture, a stiff, tightlipped society. Instead of conforming to the uptight dominance of society, they instead wore their hair long, dressed in jeans, sandals and loose fitting dresses, and they experienced with mind altering drugs and uninhibited living. |
